Machikusa Mikke

Machikusa Mikke

“Machikusa” refers to weeds growing in urban areas. The children give their own original names to the weeds they find themselves, and create cards and illustrations using photos and drawings to share with their friends. This workshop is filled with children’s imagination, expressiveness, and empathy.

Let’s Make a Safari Park

Let’s Make a Safari Park

This workshop lets children have fun with the gamelan, traditional Indonesian music instruments, and the wayang, shadow puppet theater. In addition to performances by the artists, the children can try their hand at playing the gamelan, and making and performing shadow puppet plays. This offers them the chance to experience the culture and art of another country.
