Nissha Music Studio is a music distribution initiative that offers a stage for young artists active globally to express themselves. All sessions are filmed on the premises of Nissha Co., Ltd., transforming office spaces into music studios—an innovative approach that expands the possibilities of a video expression.

The featured artist for Vol.2 is Kyoto-born violinist Amane Yamada. After graduating from Kyoto City University of Arts, he received the Excellence Award and the Kobe Shimbun Award at the KOBE International Music Competition. While continuing to deepen his studies in the classical world, he is also expanding his activities into the field of pop and rock, attracting attention as a performer who seamlessly crosses musical genres.

Joining him is cellist Koki Taniguchi. He was born in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, and began playing the cello at the age of ten. A fellow graduate of Kyoto City University of Arts, he has performed Dvořák’s Cello Concerto with the Biwako Philharmonic Orchestra. He is currently a performing member at Osaka University of Arts and Doshisha Women’s College of Liberal Arts, and is active in the Kansai region through guest appearances with professional orchestras and chamber music performances.

Vol.2 Amane Yamada: Melodies of a Next-Generation Violinist

In this session, Yamada and Taniguchi perform a duo rendition of Ravel’s Sonata for Violin and Cello. Yamada also presents solo performances of Bach’s Adagio from Sonata No. 1 for Solo Violin and his original works, including Buzama (Clumsy), Koe ga kikitaku natta (I Wanted to Hear Your Voice).

A program that combines classical masterpieces with his own compositions, this setlist reflects Yamada’s artistic identity and the unique position he occupies in the musical landscape today.

The second half of the video features a special interview with Yamada by Junya Suzuki, Chairman of the NISSHA FOUNDATION. The conversation explores what led him to pursue the violin, the sources of inspiration behind his original works, and the everyday life of a young artist. The video offers insights not only into his performance, but also into the essence of his creative process.
